History of Echo Creek RetrieversDr. Rob Millet grew up on the bayous of south Louisiana where a man's dog is his hunting partner, companion, and family member. The dogs, like the people of the region, are loyal and hardworking, but also easy-going and friendly. Dr. Millet is an avid outdoorsman with over 20 years of experience raising, training, and breeding all types of sporting dogs. He moved to North Carolina in 1991 to complete his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center. Since that time he has trained pointers, setters, beagles and foxhounds. Still, labradors remain his favorite. He and his wife, Ginny Rollins, own Echo Creek Riding Academy, home to the UNC and Duke equestrian teams.
